Weavers Way is a member-owned retail food cooperative in Northwest Philadelphia. A community institution since its inception as a basement buying club in 1973, Weavers Way now has more than 6,000 member households and over $22 million in annual sales. Weavers Way offers a friendly shopping environment and quality products that are locally grown, sustainable, and nutritious.
Weavers Way's newest store is located at 328 West Chelten Avenue, at the corner of Chelten and Morris Street in Germantown. The store is located on the same block as the Chelten Avenue train station (Chestnut Hill West line) and bus routes 26 and J. There is a parking lot and adequate street parking nearby.
Occupying a former Acme Market, Weavers Way Germantown is a full-service grocery store and, like our other stores, prioritizes healthy, natural, and locally grown and produced food. The store features a large produce department, with organic and conventional offerings, a deli offering made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, and bowls, and a huge bulk department to support zero-waste shopping.
Our Germantown store is wheelchair accessible, offers indoor and outdoor seating, and has a community room that is free for non-profit and community group use. The store accepts SNAP and has an application for WIC pending.
