Weavers Way is a member-owned retail food cooperative in Northwest Philadelphia. A community institution since its inception as a basement buying club in 1973, Weavers Way now has more than 6,000 member households and over $22 million in annual sales. Weavers Way offers a friendly shopping environment and quality products that are locally grown, sustainable, and nutritious.
Our new store in Chestnut Hill offers fresh, local and organic fruit and produce; fresh fish; naturally raised chicken and meats; fresh baked goods; an excellent deli; a full dairy section; bulk grains and spices; nuts and dried fruit; and a vast selection of both mainstream and hard-to-find grocery items. We also have an amazing prepared foods department, with dozens of hot and cold entrees, made-to-order sandwiches, and a salad bar, as well as an oatmeal bar and other reakfast specialties every morning. We also have an extensive bulk section.
But Weavers Way is more than just our great stores, and good food isn’t the only thing that is important at our co-op. Through Weavers Way Community Programs (WWCP), our Farm Programs, and more, Weavers Way creatively and energetically invests itself back into the communities that make us what we are.
