Ever'man Cooperative Grocery & Cafe (Garden Street)

Ever'man Cooperative Grocery & Cafe was founded in 1973 by a group of people who wanted to have access to wholesome, nutritious food at a reasonable cost. The small group discovered that they could get their essentials such as whole wheat flour at a lower price by pooling their resources and purchasing their foods in bulk. Throughout the years, more and more people joined the cooperative.

Ever’man has outgrown five locations and is now located in a 16,500 sq. ft. building that was renovated and had space added in 2014 in the heart of downtown Pensacola. We currently have over 75 employees and serve more than 10,000 active members.

We offer a healthy alternative to what can be found at conventional grocery stores. Because we believe in the importance of wholesome products, our buyers apply a strict philosophy when purchasing everything from vitamins & supplements to chips, baby foods, and dairy products. We strive to buy organic whenever possible and avoid artificial ingredients in all our products.

The Ever’man Cafe includes a self-serve hot and cold food bar, a full delicatessen with a sandwich station, deli meats and cheeses, a complete line of in house prepared salads and a 100% organic juice and fruit smoothie bar. Our produce department is mostly organic and has as much local produce as possible. We also sell fresh meat and seafood, a complete line of grocery items including a large bulk area, a full range of dairy products highlighting local milk producers and frozen foods.

The Ever'man Educational Center is a renovated 1900 sq. ft. property across the green space on the store property. It is a meeting space which is used for holistic healing, yoga, support groups and other educational seminars. The space provides a complete commercial grade kitchen and video system which supports classes of up to 45 people. We also have an expansive in store resource center which includes books, video rentals, and magazines to aid our customers in their quest for learning.
